ABOUT US1955 - 1st load of trees to the U.S.

       We are located in New Ross, a small village in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Approximately a one hour drive west of Halifax on the South Shore, New Ross is in the heart of Balsam Fir Christmas Tree Country. We are blessed to have the perfect combination of soil conditions and the breezes off the Atlantic Ocean - ideal for growing premium quality Balsam Fir trees. Lunenburg County is the largest Balsam Fir growing county in Canada.

1970 - the days before mechanical balers       H.C. Sanders & Son Ltd. began in 1955. We are a family owned business which is now operated by the second generation. We sell quality, freshly cut Balsam Fir trees and wreaths. Annually we ship 80000 to 100000 Balsam Fir trees. Since 1955 our logo has stood for quality, service and reliability.
